18.11.08 - VIVIENNE WESTWOOD – CHAOS POINT.

Dame Vivienne Westwood is not afraid to wear her heart on her sleeve on the 18th November, in London, the designer extraordinaire hosted a gala charity event which aimed to raise £250,000 for children's charity the NSPCC.

With Music by London Musici this was heralded as a “performance art Catwalk show”. Lavish provided stilt walking models to wear Westwood dresses that had been lovingly hand painted by 7 –yr old primary children. The fabrics were adorned in a variety of colourful insects & plants to highlight the fact that it will be their generation that bears the brunt of "the impending ecological crisis".

Eva Herzigova, Claudia Schiffer, the Jagger sisters and more came together to see the legendary designer's Gold Label collection, entitled Chaos Point, shown in the Banqueting Hall at Whitehall Palace - the first time that the Gold Label collection has been seen on a London catwalk.

04.08.08 - LATITUDE 2008 IS A SELL OUT SUCCESS!

"The site is stunning. It's certainly the most picturesque festival I've ever been too" Telegraph.co.uk

Lavish have recently returned from another hugely successful Latitude festival. With tickets sold out months in advance it promised to be a fantastic weekend, and it certainly didn't disappoint.

For the third year running Lavish were responsible for the iconic look of the festival - creating theatrical facades and decor for the arena tents; a contempory art exhibition in the woods; and for the first year, the 'Lavish Drawing Room' - a surreal drawing room set in the woods. The Lavish Drawing Room was not only the setting for acoustic sets from up-and-coming bands presented by Lavish, but was also adopted by ITV for interviewing acts from the festival, including headliners Franz Ferdinand!

Lavish also presented the breathtaking Music of Spheres who opened the festival in spectacular style with their awe inspiring floating bubble on the lake, 'The Irrepressibles' , who for the second year running played three sets with ever growing audiences, as well as flamenco sensation Rafael Amargo who performed a sunset set on the picturesque 'On the Lake' stage.

Keep your eyes peeled for a full write up on our Case Studies page, along with photos and film footage from the festival.
